Supportive Group Therapy

The group therapy experience is one of the most helpful means of supporting women experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss. Groups are provided in a safe, confidential space allowing you to share similar experiences, and receive help to acquire more effective coping strategies. Long-lasting friendships and supportive relationships may form with some relationships lasting for years beyond the infertility struggle.

Nutrition Education and Healthy Meals

Healthful eating is fundamental to your body’s ability to become pregnant and to maintain a healthy pregnancy, and in turn affects the health of your child. Nutrition is an aspect of infertility that you can control, and one that will have a life-long impact on the health of your family.  

Healthy eating choices served, Nutrition 101 and cooking demonstration with healthy recipes to boost your mental and physical health.

Art as Therapy

Expressing yourself creatively can be an extremely useful tool in healing from the pain of infertility and pregnancy loss, or any loss. It has the benefits of visual and tactile stimulation,  meditative qualities, and the ability to create and complete something within your control, a feeling often lost during the infertility journey.  

You will have dedicated time to work on a project of your choosing to take with you as a reminder of your courage and strength at this retreat.

Acupuncture

Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally or with assisted Western medical treatments, you'll learn how alternative medicine can improve overall health and fertility.  We will discuss and demonstrate how acupuncture supports women through conception, pregnancy, labor preparation and postpartum care, ultimately providing more ways to take control of your fertility experience.

Insights into acupuncture benefits, abdominal massage, an ideal fertility diet, and beneficial dietary supplements will be covered.

Yoga

Yoga is a total mind-body workout that increases circulation to the reproductive system, supports a healthy immune system, reduces stress, anxiety and depression, and helps maintain or achieve a healthy weight. Many women find that focusing on yoga for infertility problems helps them to have more self-acceptance about their struggle to conceive, as well as prepare their body for pregnancy.

Yoga will be offered daily both indoors and in the beautiful outdoor natural setting.

Mindful Meditation

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.  You'll be guided through a mindfulness session where we will mediate surrounded by nature.

Mindfulness helps boost your immune system and promotes a shift toward positive perspectives.

Down Time

In addition to the structured retreat programming there will be blocks of time to enjoy the pool, a walk in nature, time to reflect and socialize with other participants.  Saturday night we will hang out around the campfire and make s'mores.  

Free time to enjoy new friends and retreat ammenities.
